Ole Voice Buddy is a voice-training tool: pitch detection, mirror practice, and live monitoring. It's built to run entirely on your device. This page explains, plainly, what that means for your data.

The short version

No data leaves your device

Ole Voice Buddy does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, recordings, or usage information. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising SDKs in the app. Everything the app does with your voice happens locally, on your phone or computer.

What the app accesses, and why

The app requests a small set of permissions, each tied to a specific feature:

Microphone

Needed for every core feature — pitch detection, Mirror Mode, Live Studio, and Echo (live monitoring). Audio is analyzed in memory in real time and is never uploaded anywhere.

Storage / media access

Used only if you choose to save a practice recording as a local audio file, or export a session as a PDF. These files are written to your own device storage and stay there unless you share them yourself.

Recordings and practice data

If you save a session recording, it's written as a standard audio file in your device's local storage — the app has no server to send it to. Your pitch history, target settings, and app preferences are also stored locally (using on-device storage), not in any cloud account. Uninstalling the app removes this data along with it.

Third-party services

The app loads fonts from Google Fonts' font delivery network to render its interface. This can share your device's IP address with Google as part of that request, the same as visiting any website that uses Google Fonts. No other third-party service is used, and no data broker, analytics platform, or ad network is integrated into the app.

Children's privacy

Ole Voice Buddy is a general-audience voice-training tool and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that does involve data leaving the device — this page will be updated and the effective date above will change accordingly.
